In case you haven't yet heard, Barack Obama's grandmother died. She was 86 years old, was fighting cancer and recently broke her hip. Mr. Obama always said that his gramma was his biggest inspiration and that he was who he was because of her.

Now, I don't like politicians in the least but this is really sad. The American election is TOMORROW. How is the guy supposed to pay attention to that when one of the most important people in his life just died?

Mmkay, so for everyone who has been following the Zimbabwean election campaign (all two of you) that stupid old man Robert Mugabe was just sworn in again (sixth time, wtf)  as President!

This makes me unbelievably angry- ARGH!

I mean, the continent of Africa is (well, the majority of it anyway) in such a state that any good leadership at all would be a godsend. Then people like that baboon have to come along and ruin everything. What's he getting out of leading a country? He should be in a nursing home! He should be dead! What's he ever done for the people that's so great, that's such an admirable deed? I am soooo upset at this.

OMG, cause it's like he's not even getting anything out of it. People hate him, nobody likes him, he's old, he's ugly and he's witless. Which is not a very good combination...

And then the one time where you actually expect countries like the US to jump in and be all chivalrous and junk, they don't do it! The only thing that happened was that Queen lady going and taking away his knighthood but tell me, wtf does a knighthood even mean? You're not smarter, you're not any younger. Actually, it seems to me that the majority of these knight people are those who are willing to give everything including their self-respect and dignity for the sake of pleasing a monarch that doesn't even have a say in what goes on in their country. What's the point of that? I see none!

But like I was saying, no one's done anything. When it's something about the Middle East everyone jumps to their feet yelling and screaming and blowing things up but when it's about the catastrophic plight of those living in such horrifying conditions, people just shake their heads, comment about "what a shame" it is and move on to the next big story.

25 years that this man has been in power. 25 years! The only thing that's changed over that time is his wife's mounting credit card bill.

I hope something changes there soon. I hope someone does something to help those poor Zimbabweans.
